Greek proposal could be submitted on Wednesday

A senior Eurozone official has said that Greece would "maybe" submit a new proposal to its international creditors on Wednesday, after the country's leaders turned up at an emergency meeting in Brussels empty handed on Tuesday.

The Eurogroup of finance ministers held a meeting on Tuesday morning ahead of a summit between the Eurozone leaders scheduled at 17:00 BST.

Ahead of the meetings, leaders from Germany and France had urged Athens to come up with new proposals, following the country's referendum vote against previously proposed bailout conditions.
