EgyptAir flight made sharp turn and changed course before disappearing from radars - BBC

The EgyptAir flight that disappeared over the eastern Mediterranean in the early hours of Thursday morning made two sharp turns before losing altitude and radar controllers lost contact with the aircraft.

Greece's defence minister Panos Kammenos said the Cairo-bound Airbus A320 had "turned 90 degrees left and a 360-degree turn to the right" and dropped more than 6,700m (20,000ft) before disappearing from radar, the BBC reported.

A later report from Reuters citing defence sources indicated that Greek search and rescue teams had found two objects floating in the sea 50 miles south east of the area where the flight had gone missing.
