Tesla plans to open 52 new service centers in 2021 with at least one opening a week, reported Electrek on Thursday.

According to a source familiar with the matter, the electric carmaker has been expanding its network of service centers and Superchargers to keep up with its growing fleet.

The company, which has repeatedly said that it needs to expand its service center locations, operates 466 service centers around the world, according to Electrek.

Tesla has not made a comment on the issue.

The announcement comes after it recently lost $13bn in value as the broader market sank due to a global surge in Covid-19 cases and uncertainty regarding an additional stimulus package that the US Congress needs to approve.
