“Ryanair has now provided the option for Greeks looking to travel to buy their plane tickets in cash at the Ryanair ticket desk at its airports,” the company said in a statement.

It added that it would accept cash at all 11 Greek airports that it serves.

Ryanair has four aircraft based in Athens, serving a dozen routes including to London, Brussels and Milan, and two smaller bases in Thessaloniki and Crete.
