Gazprom might lay off 25% of staff

Russian gas company Gazprom is reportedly considering laying off 25% of its workforce, even as the biggest economic crisis in 16 years takes hold of the country.

The cuts in staff at the world's largest natural-gas producer would affect not only the parent company but its subsidiaries and could affect 125,000 positions, according to a report by Interfax.
