Italy's antitrust regulator said on Friday that Ryanair, easyJet, Vueling and Blue Panorama will now offer refunds to passengers affected by the cancellations caused by the pandemic.

The announcement followed an inquiry opened in September which looked at whether the cancellations made outside of the period of government restrictions should be compensated.

The antitrust regulator also said that customers will have a choice between a refund and a voucher.

According to Reuters, the regulator added that its own investigation into potential wrong commercial practices was continuing.
