Week ahead: Global services sector surveys, China CPI in focus

Investors' focus at the start of the second quarter will be on a raft of surveys results for services sector activity from around the world.

The Institute for Supply Management will be first out of the blocks on Monday with it US Services sector PMI, followed by equivalent survey results out of China, the next day, and the euro area and UK on Wednesday.

Central banks won't be far from investors' minds either with the minutes of the US Federal Reserve and European Central Bank's last policy meetings also due out, on Wednesday and Thursday, respectively.

The Bank of England's own quarterly bulletin is also scheduled to be published, on Friday.

Still on home shores, the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors and mortgage lender Halifax will publish house price survey findings for March, on Wednesday and Friday.

Also at the end of the week, China's National Bureau of Statistics will release readings on consumer and producer prices in the Asian giant referencing the month of March.
