Week ahead: Central banks in focus
Central banks will be in focus next week, especially on Tuesday, when Governor Mark Carney is scheduled to participate on a panel with Federal Reserve chair Janet Yellen as well as the ECB's Mario Draghi and their Japanese counterpart Haruhiko Kuroda.
Against that backdrop, CPI and retail sales data for the UK are scheduled for release on Tuesday and Thursday, respectively.
Elsewhere, the flow of economic data will be on light side.
In the single currency bloc, euro area gross domestic product figures for the third quarter and the ZEW institute's economic confidence gauge for November are both scheduled for release on Tuesday.
Stateside, the main economic releases will be evenly distributed throughout the week, with factory gate price figures due out on Tuesday, followed by the Philly Fed's regional manufacturing sector gauge on Thursday and housing starts data on Friday.
