Director dealings: TransGlobe CEO lowers stake

Transglobe Energy chief executive Ross Clarkson disposed of 500,000 ordinary shares in the AIM-listed oil and gas firm.

Clarkson, who took the reins at Transglobe as its CEO and company president back in 1996, sold the shares at an average price of 335.45p each, for a total value of £1.67m.

Last Tuesday, Transglobe revealed August production had dipped due to routine well servicing in Egypt and that, in Canada, the company shut in 80 barrels of oil equivalent in natural gas production per day during Mayas a result of low gas prices.

Transglobe received proceeds of $59m during its third quarter for cargos lifted in June and July.

As of 1630 BST, Transglobe shares had picked up 1.48% to 263.86p.
