Director dealings: Safecharge CEO cashes in £13m in Wednesday share sale
Safecharge International chief executive David Avgi sold 3,995,185 ordinary shares in the AIM-listed payments technology company on Wednesday.
Avgi, who took over as CEO back in 2007, disposed of the shares at an average price of 325p each, for a total value of £12.98m.
Following the transaction, Avgi maintained an interest in 3,374,111 ordinary shares in the company, equivalent to 2.2% of Safecharge's total number of shares.
In a brief update for the first six months of its trading year, SafeCharge hailed a solid first-half on the back of new client wins and strong trading, with good momentum in revenues and transaction processing volumes.
Back in July, the group said it had continued to invest in new salespeople and additional marketing to bring in new customers and generate a greater awareness of its capabilities outside its traditional markets and verticals.
"With robust current trading and strong sales pipeline, the board remains confident that the outcome for the year will be in line with market expectations."
As of 1620 BST, Safecharge shares had picked up 2.04% to 325p.
