Director dealings: Pendragon director ups stake

Pendragon revealed on Wednesday that non-executive director Mike Wright had acquired of 250,000 ordinary shares in the London-listed automotive retailer.

Wright, a former Jaguar Land Rover executive, purchased the shares last Friday at an average price of 7.25p each, for a total value of £18,125.

Back in March, Pendragon reported it had swung to an underlying loss before tax of £16.4m for the year ended 31 December - a marked turnaround from the profit of £47.8m recorded in the prior year.

As of 1625 BST, Pendragon shares had surged 17.49% to 8.80p.
