Director dealings: Paysafe chairman Jones makes maiden payment

Paysafe Group chairman Dennis Jones bought more than £140,000-worth of shares in the provider of online payment solutions, which recently moved up to the full list and was in March added to the FTSE 250.

Jones, who has been on the board since 2014 and has close to 30 years' experience in payments and payment processing in the UK, Europe, China and the US, snapped up 40,000 shares in the company on the open market at a price of 359.7p each.

This was Jones first purchase of shares in Paysafe, which have travelled up from less than 60p in the last five years but are below the heights of 520p not long after he first joined what was then an AIM-listed outfit.

A recent trading update from the company, which changed its name from Optimal Payments in 2013, indicated that full year revenue was expected to be in the range of $950m-$970m, ahead of market consensus of $911m.
