Director dealings: NMC Health boss buys in near 200-week moving average

NMC Health boss Prasanth Manghat picked up some shares in the Middle-East focused provider of health services on Thursday.

According to the company, Manghat bought 75,000 in the hospital chain at an individual price of 2,495p, for a total transaction amount of £1,871,520.

His purchase came just two days after NMC announced the formation of a joint venture with Saudi Arabia's General Organization for Social Insurance (GOSI) and its investment arm Hassana Investment Company.

And although the shares remained near to their 52-week lows of 29 March (when they bounced from technical support at the 200-week moving average), which were to be found at 2,110.0p, as recently as 7 May, Berenberg had sounded an upbeat note on the outlook for the company.

True, on that occasion, Berenberg had slashed its target price from 4700p to 3600p but kept its recommendation at 'buy', telling clients that it saw "significant upside", even before accounting for the possibility of inorganic growth or the potential from its joint venture with GOSI, the largest pension fund in the Kingdom.

Of possible interest, the shares were also trading near the 50% Fibonacci retracement of their entire uptrend since the start of 2015.

Shares of NMC Health ended 1.31% lower on Thursday at 2,403.0p.
