Director dealings: Kainos director lowers stake

Paul Gannon, business development director of digital services firm Kainos, disposed of 400,000 ordinary shares in the firm on Tuesday.

Gannon, who joined Kainos in 1998 as the sales manager for its Irish operation, sold the shares at an average price of 405p for a total of £1.62m.

Following the disposal, Gannon held 8.43m ordinary shares in the company, constituting 7.11% of its entire issued share capital.

Back in May, Kainos Group, widely regarded as one of Northern Ireland's biggest IT success stories, reported that sales came in just shy of £100m in its eighth year of consecutive growth.

Kainos told investors that its upwards momentum was on course to carry into the next year, confirming that its current order book was a touch under £130m.

"I'm delighted with another year of significant progress," Kainos' founder and chief executive Brendan Mooney said.

As of 1500 BST, Kainos shares had gained 3.75% to 415p.
