Director dealings: Gordon Dadds co-founder lowers stake

Gordon Dadds co-founder Simon Howard disposed of 80,000 ordinary shares in the AIM-listed legal and professional services firm on Wednesday.

Howard, who has served as the company's chairman since its inception, sold the shares at an average price of 140p each, for a total value of £112,000.

In its last trading year, Gordon Dadds saw costs relating to recent reverse acquisitions and its admission to the AIM segment of the London Stock Exchange bring about a fall in its annual pre-tax profits.

Gordon Dadds saw pre-tax profit slip 5.8% to £6.4m for the year ended 31 March despite revenue increasing 25.3% year-on-year to £31.2m.

Despite cutting its debt by 87.6% to £527,000, non-recurring costs, including those associated with the acquisitions of Brook Street and Gordon Dadds Group, as well as associated restructuring costs, soared 326% to £2.3m.

As of 1615 GMT, Gordon Dadds shares were up 0.72% to 140p.
