Director dealings: Evraz execs lower stakes

Evraz chairman Alexander Abramov disposed of 8.47m ordinary shares in the FTSE 100-listed steelmaker on Tuesday.

Abramov, who took on the role of chairman back in October 2011, sold the shares at an average price of 595p each, for a total value of £50.4m.

Chief executive Alexander Frolov and non-executive director Eugene Shvidler also lowered their stakes on Tuesday, with Frolov letting go of 4.22m shares for a total of £25.16m and Shvidler disposing of 1.2m for a total of £7.17m.

Evraz reported “robust” free cash flow of $1.94bn in its annual results back in February, rising from $1.32bn year-on-year.

The Russia-focussed mining giant’s consolidated revenue was ahead 18.6% at $12.84bn, while its profit from operations surged 77.6% to $3.53bn.

It reported a continued reduction in net debt over the year, to $3.6bn from $4bn, and the company claimed a total EBITDA effect from its cost-cutting and customer focus initiatives of $340m for the year.

As of 1620 GMT, Evraz shares had fallen 4.51% to 601.60p.
