Director dealings: DS Smith chief sells £1.8m worth of shares

DS Smith chief executive Miles Roberts has sold more than £1.8m worth of shares.

He sold 456,026 shares in the packaging specialist at 395p each.

The news comes a month after the company reported its annual results. Revenue rose 9% to £4.0bn in the year to 30 April, driven by a string of acquisitions. Adjusted operating profits grew 16%, of which 10% came from organic growth supplemented by 6% from acquisitions.

General Electric chairman Jeffrey Immelt purchased 50,000 shares in the company for $31.45 each, totalling $1.57m. It comes after Immelt in May bought 67,600 shares at an average price of $29.59, or about $2m.
