Director dealings: Blue Prism CEO collects £7.56m from Friday share sale

Alastair Bathgate, chief executive of Blue Prism, disposed of 410,000 ordinary shares in the AIM-listed group on Friday

Bathgate, who co-founded Blue Prism back in 2001, sold the shares at an average price of 1,844p for a total value of £7.56m.

As a result of the sale, Bathgate held an interest in 4.65m Blue Prism shares, representing approximately 7.0% of the group's issued share capital.

Demand for robotic process automation, Blue Prism's primary focus, showed no signs of slowing down when the specialist turned in its interim results back in June.

Blue Prism secured 609 software deals during the year ended October 2017, compared with just 189 in the prior year.

The group's recurring licence revenue also represented a higher proportion of overall sales, rising from 85% to 90%.

As of 1500 BST, Blue Prism shares had dipped 0.66% to 1,820p.
