The results of two closely-followed surveys will keep the US labour market on investors' radar on Tuesday.

They are the National Federation of Independent Businesses' small companies confidence index and the Federal Reserve's JOLTS report.

Across the Channel, the European Central Bank will continue to be the focus of attention as the monetary authority's chief economist, Philip Lane, speaks at a conference hosted by the Irish Fiscal Advisory Council.

No major economic reports are scheduled for release in the UK.

Ocado is among the main corporate names that is due to update investors.

At the time of its fourth quarter trading statement, the online food retailer said that it expected group earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation for the full-year to come in above £70m.

For 2021, its results would hinge on the degree to which Ocado Retail returned to a more normalised trading week and when planned capacity increased went live.

UBS analyst Sreedhar Mahamkali said he would also be on the look out for an update regarding the AutoStore patent litigation.
