Thursday preview: UK Q2 GDP, CCH in focus
Financial markets' focus on Thursday will be a on slew of activity readings for the British economy in June.
All told, gross domestic is expected to have expanded by 4.8% quarter-on-quarter over the three months to June, led by a rebound in services and construction.
For June alone, GDP is seen 1.0% higher on the month.
Stateside meanwhile, inflation will continue to front and centre on investors' minds as the Department of Labor releases producer price data for July.
Weekly initial and secondary US unemployment claims figures also hold the potential to move markets.
Inflation readings are also due out in France and Spain, albeit at the consumer level.
Further afield, rate-setters in New Zealand and in the Philippines will meet to decide on interest rates.
On the corporate side of things, Coca-Cola Hellenic will update investors on its second quarter performance.
UBS analyst Nik Oliver said investors would focus on volume growth in Russia and Nigeria with the analyst having penciled-in a 18.2% rise in organic sales for the half.
The bottler's earnings before interest and taxes meanwhile were seen up by 46%.
In his opinion, financial markets were not pricing in the company's ability to grow its topline by 5.0-6.0% and consistently grow its margins.
