Thursday preview: ECB´s Lagarde, German GDP in focus

Financial markets will be keeping tabs on a flurry of speeches from top European Central Bank officials, including one by its boss, Christine Lagarde, in the afternoon, at 1330 GMT.

Due out are readings for consumer confidence in Belgium and Germany covering the month of November, at 1400 GMT and 0700 GMT, respectively, alongside final figures for third quarter GDP growth in Germany, at 0700 GMT.

Meanwhile, at 0830 GMT, rate-setters in Sweden are due to announce their latest policy decision.

Further afield, in Asia, central bankers in Seoul are also due to meet to decide on policy, with a 25 basis point hike in the monetary authority´s seven-day repurchase rate anticipated, which would take it to 1.0%.

No major economic reports are scheduled for release in the UK.

All US markets will remain closed on Thursday in observance of Thanksgiving Day.
