Yougov in talks over acquisition of GfK's European consumer panel unit

Research and data analytics group YouGov confirmed on Thursday that it is in advanced talks about a potential acquisition of GfK's European consumer panel business.

Responding to an earlier press report, the company also said it is considering an equity issue to partly fund the acquisition.

"There can be no certainty that a transaction will take place nor as to the terms on which any transaction may occur," it said, adding that a further announcement will be made in due course, if appropriate.
