British 'big data' technology company WANdisco has entered a non-exclusive original equipment manufacturer (OEM) sales agreement with a cloud service and software firm Virtustream, a division of Dell Technologies, that would see the AIM-listed group embed its Fusion product into Virtuestream's hybrid cloud as a replication solution.

WANdisco announced on Tuesday that Fusion, which allows companies to continuously keep track of changes to all their data around the world, would be sold as a standard Virtuestream product covering on-premises cloud environments.

David Richards, chief executive, said, "This new OEM agreement firmly embeds Fusion into Virtustream's offerings, which adds significant market reach and scale to our business as we benefit from Virtustream's global sales reach as a part of the Dell Technologies family of businesses.

"It also marks another significant milestone in our emergence as a critical part of the cloud and on-premises ecosystem and is another strong endorsement of WANdisco's unique technology from one of the world's leading technology players," he added.

Rodney Rogers, chairman and chief executive officer of Virtustream, Fusion provided its customers with "the ability to leverage best-in-class technology across both public and private cloud deployments to ensure that continuous and consistent data replication occurs seamlessly with no downtime".
