Luxury furnishings outfit Walker Greenbank named Lisa Montague as its new chief executive officer on Tuesday, completing the reshaping of its board.

Montague, who will join Walker Greenbank as an executive director on 11 March before becoming CEO on 10 April, has significant experience in leading and developing British and international brand-based businesses with manufacturing and multi-channel distribution by virtue of her six-year stretch as chief operating officer at AIM-quoted leather goods brand Mulberry Group.

As a result of the appointment, current chief executive Dianne Thompson will take over as chairman and current interim chairman Christopher Rogers will return to his previous role as non-executive director.

Rogers said: "Lisa brings a huge amount of experience from luxury and aspirational brand-based businesses and has particular strengths in brand development, commercial strategy and international growth.

"This appointment, which follows our recent appointment of Dianne Thompson as chairman, completes the re-shaping of the board and secures the next stage in the development of the company with the objective of delivering value for shareholders."

As of 1055 GMT, Savannah shares had slipped 1.92% to 65.22p.
