Versarien taps Dr Stephen Hodge for chief technical officer role

Advanced materials engineering group Versarien has tapped Dr Stephen Hodge to take over as chief technical officer.

Versarien said on Thursday that Hodge, the firm's head of research since July 2018, would take on the role with immediate effect.

Chief executive Neill Ricketts said: "We are delighted to welcome Steve to the Versarien board. He brings significant research and scientific experience to the CTO role and will be responsible for developing solutions and creating partnerships with the graphene and plastics division's commercial pipeline.

"His academic credentials are impeccable and his time as Head of Research at Versarien ensures that Steve will continue to contribute to the progression of our commercial partnerships and international expansion strategy."

As of 0940 GMT, Versarien shares were up 0.93% at 49.23p.
