Healthcare service provider Totally announced on Wednesday that its urgent care and planned care divisions had been awarded a further contract extension and a new contract, respectively.

The AIM-traded firm said that the latest in a series of contract extensions awarded to its urgent care division would see its wholly-owned subsidiary Vocare awarded a six-month contract extension worth £7.2m.

Under the terms of the contract, which had been extended to 30 September, Vocare would continue to provide integrated urgent care services for the South West London Commissioning Group.

Additionally, its planned care division was awarded a new contract to provide occupational physiotherapy services to four police forces in the South West of England.

The contract was set to begin on 1 March, and would run for a period of three years, with an option to extend the contract term for a further two years thereafter.

“We are very pleased to announce another contract extension awarded to our urgent care division, as well as the new physiotherapy services contract secured by our planned care division,” said chief executive officer Wendy Lawrence.

“The award of the contract extension for IUC services for the South West London CCG is once again demonstrative of the diligence and unwavering ability of our urgent care division to deliver the highest quality of service to patients, even during these challenging times.

“Separately, we are delighted to report that our planned care division has been awarded a new contract for the provision of occupational physiotherapy services to four police forces in the South West of England.”
