Leading athlete representation and sports marketing business TLA Worldwide appointed FTI Capital Advisors as its new financial adviser on Monday as part of a strategic review.

As part of the review, led by executive chairman Ian Gray, the company is also considering options including the sale of the US arm of its business, which is comprised of baseball and more general US sports marketing businesses.

"Good progress has been made in the early stages of the strategic review and we are looking at various options in order to maximise shareholder value," said Gray.

FTI have been put in place to assist with the potential sales process of these businesses, for which TLA said there have been a high number of preliminary approaches.

"TLA has a robust US business with a high-quality roster of bright, young stars and their successes both on and off the field, coupled with a number of the best and brightest professionals in the US sports industry, position the business well for the future," said Gray.

The company is active in the UK, US and Australia and represents cricketers, baseball players, tennis players and Olympians, as well as a host of other athletes and sports broadcasters.
