Simulation and training solutions firm SimiGon has been awarded a blanket purchase agreement from the United States Air Force for the supply of its virtual and mixed reality systems.

The agreement, which has a contract ceiling of $6m over a two-year period, allows the US Government to rapidly order virtual reality and mixed reality solutions from SimiGon.

The AIM-listed group was one of four contractors awarded the agreement.

Chief executive Ami Vizer said: "This contract mechanism simplifies the ordering process for USAF when ordering SimiGon VR and MR systems. We look forward to many additional VR and MR systems deliveries in support of the USAF's ongoing innovation efforts."

As of 0900 BST, SimiGon shares had picked up 2.53% to 8.10p.
