North Africa-focused oil and gas company SDX Energy has commenced digging operations at its KSR-16 well, the third of a nine well drilling programme on the company's Sebou, Gharb Centre and Lalla Mimouna permits in Morocco, the company announced on Friday.

The board of SDX said the well was anticipated to take 20-25 days to drill and complete, with completion activities, such as flow-testing and its connection to existing infrastructure, expected to be carried out within 21 days of the drilling rig departing the location.

The company also announced that its KSR-15 well was currently being connected to the existing infrastructure, which was expected to be placed on test production within the next 10 days.
