Specialist cleaning, hygiene and decontamination company React Group has been awarded a contract to provide specialist deep cleaning services on a regular basis to one of its tier-1 rail sector customers, it announced on Thursday.

The AIM-traded firm said the contract was as part of essential services, and was not Covid-19 related.

It said the initial contract, worth around £0.4m, would run for 35 weeks through to the end of the calendar year, and was incremental to the work React already carried out for the customer on a regular basis.

“React is quickly becoming the 'go to' deep cleaning specialist for a number of clients, especially those that operate facilities where cleanliness and hygiene are highly valued,” said chief executive officer Shaun Doak.

“This contract provides further continuity and revenue visibility for the current year and into the next.

“It comes as a direct result of our standout performance elsewhere for this Client and is a strong endorsement of our market-leading expertise.”

At 1513 BST, shares in React Group were up 5.69% at 1.3p.
