ProPhotonix on Thursday won two US Patents for its COBRA Cure FX UV LED Curing Systems designed for use in UV curing applications in industrial printing, 3D printing and adhesives curing.

The AIM traded company said first patent was awarded for an "innovative" replaceable printer window that facilitates quick removal and cleaning or outright replacement of the window without the need for specialist tools, an item that limits machine downtime by allowing speedy replacement of the window.

Meanwhile, the second patent was awarded for a sensing network that works as an early detection device for issues that can occur that could impact performance, ensuring reliable operation and early detection of issues that can lead to faults or automatic shutdowns.

Tim Losik, chief executive of ProPhotonix, said: "Innovation is a cornerstone of ProPhotonix' offering to our customers and the company continues to build it's intellectual property portfolio. The COBRA Cure FX series was developed in close cooperation with users and incorporates a number of novel user-centric features.
