Software firm Pelatro has secured a fresh contract win with an unnamed African telecommunications firm.

Pelatro said on Monday that it had been selected by an African telco to provide its mViva Campaign Management Solution on a managed services basis, payable as a fixed monthly fee.

The AIM-listed firm highlighted that the value of the multi-year contract, for its initial period, was around $1.0m, with a provision for an extension afterward.

Chief executive Subash Menon said: "This win has helped us penetrate the growing African market further. This is our third new customer in 2021 and further cements our position as a leading managed services provider of campaign management and loyalty management solutions."

As of 0910 GMT, Pelatro shares were up 1.84% at 39.55p.
