One Media acquires catalogue of country songwriter Cole Taylor

Digital media content provider One Media IP Group has acquired the writer's share for a number of songs written by country singer-songwriter Cole Taylor.

One Media purchased the Georgia-based songwriter's share for a total consideration of $260,000 up front, with a maximum deferred consideration of $30,000 within 24 months.

The AIM-listed outfit acquired some of Taylor's biggest songs, including two which reached number one on the Billboard Country charts.

Chief executive Michael Infante said: "We are pleased to be building momentum in our content acquisitions programme and are delighted to be adding these particular Cole Taylor songs to our catalogue.

"With a poignant way of capturing feelings, Cole Taylor has quickly become a hugely 'in-demand' country songwriter and a rising star in country music compositions."

As of 0855 BST, One Media shares had climbed 5.45% to 5.80p.
