Doorstop lender Morses Club appointed Graeme Campbell to the role of chief financial officer on Monday, effective 12 October.

Campbell, who will take over from interim CFO Andy Thompson, will join Morses from rent-to-own and cash lending services firm BrightHouse, where he held the same position.

Thomson will continue to serve the AIM-listed group in an executive capacity until the publication of its full-year results in order to ensure a smooth handover. After that, he will reassume his position as a non-executive director.

Chief executive Paul Smith said: "Graeme brings a wealth of highly relevant sector and financial experience, along with broader digital and commercial skills, which will be invaluable to Morses Club as we look to grow the business over the coming years."

As of 1040 BST, Morses shares were up 1.08% at 40.18p.
