Modern Water has sold an ‘AquaPak’ desalination plant in Oman, it announced on Friday.

The AIM-traded firm said the AquaPak would be used to produce water on a large safari theme park designed by John Chipperfield, and owned by a senior member of Oman's royal family.

It said the AquaPak seawater desalination units were a series of “high-specification, cost-effective, self-contained” systems which could be deployed in extremely remote locations, and were suitable for a number of applications.

“Our AquaPak units, whilst marketed at an affordable price, are manufactured using high quality components, and are fully supported by Modern Water's team of experts,” said chief executive officer Simon Humphrey.

“We are delighted that our equipment will be used at such an illustrious site.”
