Audio-visual company Mediazest said on Monday that it had continued to secure new business despite ongoing difficulties within the UK and global retail sector.

Mediazest said its board had prioritised the group’s strategic focus on clients, with multiple stores and the potential to roll out its audiovisual solutions across that estate - generating "long-term and consistent income" as a result.

The AIM-listed group also focussed on providing a managed service offering around those solutions in order to generate revenue from contracts over several years.

Mediazest said the strategy had been "particularly effective" against the current market backdrop, with recurring revenue contracts worth more than £200,000 renewing or being added during the quarter ended 30 June.

In addition to opening new stores for clients like Lululemon, Kuoni and Tiffany, the company also confirmed that it had added Pets at Home as a client.

As of 0815 BST, Mediazest shares had climbed 8.82% to 0.092p.
