Live Company revealed on Friday that it looked set to exceed its events target for 2019 after securing around 67% of revenues for the year already.

The AIM-listed group said it had already confirmed 52 events for the year from its target of 60 and had "several more in the pipeline".

In the six months ended 30 June, Live traded in line with market expectations, locking in multi-year contracts with a value of £4.4m for 2019 and £1.3m for 2020, the company said.

Live also said it had witnessed "considerable growth" across its BRICKLIVE touring business, with the number of brick models used in its shows rising to 690 versus the 650 on display at the end of March.

Executive chairman David Ciclitira said: "At the halfway point of the year we continue to make encouraging progress with sales and have successfully secured 67% of our revenues for 2019 thus far.

"Enquiries remain strong for the group's touring assets and it is my belief that we will exceed our current target of 60 events for 2019, with 52 events already confirmed and several more in the pipeline."

Looking forward, Ciclitira added Live's priority for the remainder of 2019 was the expansion of the BRICKLIVE brand across both Europe and America.

As of 0955 BST, Live shares had climbed 3.11% to 50.01p.
