Legal and professional services firm Knights Group remains confident that its first half of trading on AIM will meet expectations set out at the time of its flotation.

Knights told investors on Tuesday that it had been pleased with the group's continued performance following its listing on AIM back in June and was confident that its first-half results would be "in line with expectations, with a double-digit increase in organic revenue compared to the same period last year".

The Staffordshire-based group also expects to record some "strong EBITDA growth" for the six months ended 31 October.

Knights acquired two businesses throughout the half, Turner Parkinson in Manchester and Spearing Waite in Leicester, and anticipates further investment and expansion into the Manchester area by Spring 2019.

Chief executive David Beech, said: "The group continues to make excellent progress, and we remain confident in our growth plans following June's successful listing on AIM."

"We continue to see exciting opportunities in the regional legal sector and will look to make further acquisitions of businesses which offer complementary services in targeted geographies and sectors."

As of 0945 GMT, Knights shares had slipped 0.70% to 215.95p.
