Video games services provider Keywords Studios made three acquisitions on Tuesday, in line with its strategy of being the industry's "go-to" technical and creative services platform.

Keywords said its acquisition of Kantan, a leading developer of automated translation technology, added cutting edge technology to the group that would enable it to provide "a world-leading machine learning localisation service".

As far as the acquisitions of Ichi and Syllabes, the AIM-listed group said the additions would expand its marketing services and adds a games and film/TV audio recording studio - completing the full suite of services provided out of Keywords' Montreal services hub.

The total consideration payable for the three business was €7.0m, £3.2m and CAD $475,000, respectively.

Chief executive Andrew Day said: "We look forward to working with the highly experienced and creative teams at Kantan, Ichi and Syllabes, to support their growth as part of the Keywords family as they, in turn, help us to build further upon our reputation as the leading provider of highly specialised video games services around the world."

As of 1045 GMT, Keywords shares had dipped 2.99% to 1,395p.
