Digital music solutions provider 7digital has appointed Julia Hubbard as its new full-time chief financial officer, it announced on Wednesday.

The AIM-traded firm confirmed that David Holmwood, who had been acting as CFO since June, would hand over responsibilities to Hubbard in the coming weeks.

It said Hubbard was group financial controller in the early days of internet travel pioneer Lastminute, before roles at Mowlem and CSC Media Group, where she was CFO.

Most recently, she was CFO at AIM-listed Amino Technologies, where she partnered the CEO in a successful turnaround.

It was intended that Hubbard would join the 7digital board upon completion of the required nominated adviser due diligence process.

“We are thrilled to welcome Julia to 7digital with her impressive track record in developing technology markets,” said 7digital chief executive officer Simon Cole.

“She inherits a completely re-structured finance team. The credit for that and for re-organising our financial systems rests with David.

“I wish him the very best as he returns to a more pluralist life as an interim CFO.”
