Inspiration Healthcare on Thursday agreed financial terms to ship almost 500 AlphaCore5 Patient Warming Systems to Poland's largest non-governmental, and non profit charity, via its local distributor.

Under the terms of the agreement with the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity (GOCC), the order will be shipped during the next two months to over 200 hospitals throughout Poland where the Group has had a long term distributor relationship.

The AIM traded company said this is the largest single order it has ever received for patient warming systems, which are designed for use in operating theatres, delivery suites, and neonatal intensive care units.

Neil Campbell, chief executive of Inspiration Healthcare, said: "We are delighted to have received this sizeable order for the AlphaCore5, which required many months of negotiation through our distributor in Poland. It forms part of the strong order book which I highlighted in the trading update on 22nd February and, now that terms have been agreed, we look forward to shipping the systems."

The GOCC, was founded in 1993 to save children's lives by providing medical equipment to public hospitals in Poland, with a particular focus on paediatric and geriatric wards.

"The Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity is an immensely respected organisation that has helped improve the lives of thousands of children in Poland and for our products to be selected is a huge honour. We have established a strong presence in Poland with our distributor there and I'm confident that this order will also open up other opportunities across European markets and is a great endorsement for the AlphaCore5 Patient Warming System," said Campbell.

Inspiration Healthcare's shares were up 2.60% at 63.10p at 1122 GMT.
