IMImobile names Bruce Bales as North American CEO

Cloud communications software provider IMImobile appointed industry veteran Bruce Bales to take on the role of North American chief executive on Wednesday.

Bales joins IMImobile with more than two decades of experience driving business growth and innovation across North America for public communications technology companies like AT&T, Glenayre Technologies, and CLX Communications.

He will work alongside the group's North American President, Tim Miller, in order to help fuel IMImobile's expansion into the US and Canada.

Chief executive Jay Patel said: "We strongly believe that there is a great market opportunity for IMImobile's cloud communications suite in the North American market and Bruce has deep experience in this specific market and of growing technology businesses.

"He is a well-regarded industry executive and with his capabilities and the commercial and technical teams we have established in the region, we now have a strong foundation for future growth."

As of 0825 GMT, IMImobile shares had slipped back 0.23% to 214.50p.
