Good Energy Group on Wednesday launched One Point, an electric vehicle (EV) charging offering to help business install technology and secure available network capacity.

The energy services provider has kicked off a pilot scheme with the Watergate Bay Hotel in Cornwall, having recently installed four EV chargers at the site.

These charge points are embedded with smart load balancing technology, enabling them to turn off or on in order to level out peaks and troughs in supply and demand on the local network.

The AIM traded company intends to use knowledge gained from the pilot scheme to expand the full offering to businesses up and down the UK, as it looks to facilitate the creation of a streamlined and reliable EV charging supply chain.

Founder and chief executive Juliet Davenport said: "With the launch of One Point, Good Energy is going one step further by offering businesses a simple, easy-to-use service allowing their customers and employees to go 100% renewable in their electric vehicles, helping decarbonise the transport industry."

"This is a really exciting progression in Good Energy's low carbon journey."

Good Energy shares were down 0.35% at 142.00p at 1557 BST.
