Gfinity to operate ePremier League USA online playoffs

eSports provider Gfinity said on Tuesday that it had been appointed to operate the online qualifier and online playoffs for the ePremier League USA.

The ePremier League USA, delivered by NBC Sports and the Premier League, will be played at the next Premier League Mornings Live fan festival in Philadelphia on 4-5 April 2020.

Gfinity did not disclose the value of the contract.

Chief executive Graham Wallace said: "We are delighted to be delivering the online qualifying rounds and playoffs for the first ePremier League USA.

"As the esports market continues to grow, we continue to focus on working with our clients to deliver unique and exciting events for gamers in countries all over the world."

As of 1000 GMT, Gfinity shares were up 6.33% at 1.60p.
