Internet gambling software company GAN signalled a potential expansion of its United States market on Friday, as it “welcomed” the signing and legalisation of internet sports betting in the state of New Hampshire.

The AIM-traded firm said New Hampshire was the 14th state to legalise sports wagering in the country, and the sixth to do so in 2019.

Following the launch, it said almost 21% of the total US population would be able to place sports wagers online.

“The sports betting legislation received approval in the New Hampshire House yesterday, 13 June,” the GAN board explained in its statement.

“The bill will now go to the Governor, who has already included sports betting revenue in his state budget and is expected to sign the bill within the next three to four weeks.”
