Digital transactions technology company eServGlobal has signed a new contract with an existing customer in Asia Pacific worth around €1m.

The value of the contract, which involves eServGlobal supplying a voucher management platform for a "leading" local operator in the region, will be recognised over a three-year period.

The company pointed out that Asia Pacific is one of the largest mobile markets in the world and recharge is an essential feature in this predominantly prepaid market.

Chief operating officer James Hume said: "I am pleased to provide this update of a new project with a key customer in Asia Pacific. In December last year we communicated the delay of certain orders, I confirm that we have now secured another of these projects.

"We continue to focus on successfully converting our strong pipeline of opportunities, while maintaining the cost discipline exhibited during the last year."
