Emerging markets mobile financial services provider eServGlobal was celebrating a new contract win on Wednesday, having secured a deal to supply its PayMobile software to an unnamed service provider in West Africa.

The AIM-traded firm said the total contract was worth €1.6m over two years, with approximately €1.1m to be recognised within the current financial year.

Its board said it was maintaining its guidance for the current financial year, which was to achieve a small EBITDA surplus for the core business, with some revenue growth and a substantially lower cost base.

"This is further confirmation that a recovery in the sales engine of our company is now underway,” said eServGlobal executive chairman John Conoley.

“The efforts undertaken across our business throughout the last six to 12 months are now coming to fruition."
