EasyHotel confirmed on Monday that non-executive chairman Jonathan Lane had confirmed his intention to step down from the board, and to leave the company on 1 October.

The AIM-traded firm said that, following Lane’s resignation, non-executive director Scott Christie would assume the role of interim non-executive chairman.

It said a search for a replacement chairman had started, with a further announcement to be made when appropriate.

“On behalf of both the board and the company, I would like to thank Jonathan for his longstanding commitment to the group,” said easyHotel chief executive officer Guy Parsons.

“He joined the business at the time of IPO in 2014 and has bought valuable industry expertise to easyHotel during an important period of growth.

“We wish him the very best for the future.”
