Corero Network Security announced on Wednesday that it has signed a resell partnership agreement with an unnamed leading US-based global cloud DDoS service provider.

The AIM-traded firm said the agreement would see Corero supply its ‘SmartWall’ Threat Defense System technology to customers of the partner seeking hybrid on-premises and cloud DDoS mitigation solutions.

It said that was in line with its strategy to accelerate revenue growth by partnering with go-to-market partners.

An increasing number of digital enterprises were seeking always-on real-time DDoS mitigation solutions to augment on-demand cloud DDoS services, the Corero board explained, in response to the rampant growth of commercial and industrial cybercrime.

Corero's SmartWall had reportedly been proven to mitigate DDoS attacks in seconds, in contrast to traditional approaches which may take up to tens of minutes to respond.

“We continue to deliver on our strategy of recruiting go-to-market partners,” sadi Corero managing director Ashley Stephenson.

“This new relationship provides Corero with greater access to digital enterprise customers through our new Partner's significant market presence.”

Stephenson said that additionally, the relationship was another third party endorsement of the capabilities of the SmartWall product.

“We look forward to further expanding our growing enterprise customer base by building upon this additional route to market.”
