Technology firm Cohort has received two orders from the UK Ministry of Defence for its long-term partner INVISIO's hearing protection and communication ancillaries, for use on armoured fighting vehicles and in dismounted close combat.

Cohort said on Friday that the first order, secured by its Marlborough Communications subsidiary, was valued at over £9.0m and was for the INVISIO V-Series Gen II platform for use on armoured fighting vehicles, while the second order was for further deliveries of INVISIO's Tactical Hearing Protection System Dismounted Close Combat Users program.

The AIM-listed firm added that deliveries were set to commence in the second half of 2022 through to mid-2023.

Chief executive Andy Thomis said: "These orders are a clear demonstration of the strength of the 10-year partnership and collaboration between MCL and INVISIO, and further cement MCL's position as the MOD's leading supplier of innovative hearing protection systems, to protect UK military personnel.

"Together with other recent contract wins across the group, these orders further strengthen our order book and enhance the visibility of future revenues."

As of 0925 BST, Cohort shares were up 0.25% to 455.15p.
